“
Bone Tips” for spring steel bones are the same as the bone tips for
spiral bones. “Tips” can be called “bone tips”, “bone
caps” or “U” tips, regardless of the name they do the
same thing – they blunt the end of the cut bone. All the bones
on this page come with blunt pre-finished ends but sometimes
the sizes available
are a bit too long for what you need and you have to cut
the bone and cap or tip the end. If you don’t the sharp end will
cut a hole in your casing and work its way out. This is both
inconvenient and potentially
painful. “U” tips come in two sizes ¼” and 7/16” bones.
