FarthingalesLA.com stocks only two corset books. These two books work well
together.
- "The Basics of Corset Building" written by Linda Sparks,
owner of Farthingales L.A. was written as a textbook
for the beginner corset maker.
It includes easy-to-follow instructions, with many illustrations
and photographs describing how to make a corset, using
various techniques.
- "Waisted Efforts" was
written by Robert Doyle and is designed
for the more advanced corset maker and those interested
in corset
pattern making and historic corset
details.
Both are excellent additions to any costumer or corset
maker
library.
You will find links beside each
book cover below, that will take you to an opportunity
to read sections of each book. If
you don't have these books already you will definitely
want to
add them to your collection
as no corset maker's library
or costumers library is complete
without them. If
you've been struggling with a gift idea
consider purchasing one of these books.
